About me

I am currently a data scientist at Cdiscount (Bordeaux, France), a major actor in the e-commerce sector. As part of the “Référentiel Team”, I work on machine learning algorithms, specifically for classification problems, to improve the quality of the site catalog. Topics include categorization of new products (extreme multi-label classification problem) and image or semantic-based detection of inappropriate products.
Previously, I held post-doctoral positions at University of Bordeaux, with the IMS, IMB and LaBRI laboratories (2015-17). I also held a previous post-doctoral position at IMT Lucca, Italy (2014-15). I had my Ph.D. from Université de Rennes 1 in June 2014, by carrying out a thesis at the Sirocco team of the INRIA research center of Rennes, France.

Research interests

My research interests focus on developing theory and algorithms in the field of signal/image processing and machine learning. Besides, my work also spans research areas such as computer vision, medical image analysis, and optimization.

These are the main topics I have been working on recently:

  • Extreme Multi-label Semantic-based Classification
  • Image Classification via CNN
  • Unsupervised Learning and Classification with Hyperspectral Images
  • Variational Image Inpainting
  • Example-based Super-Resolution (Ph.D. thesis topic)
  • Unsupervised Anomaly Detection
  • Dictionary Learning and Sparse Representations

News!

  • An article about my work with Yannick on probablistic clustering for hyperspectral band selection has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing. It is already available for Early Access! [04/2019]

  • I’ll be attending the PFIA (Plate-forme Intelligence Artificielle) meeting at the LORIA lab in Nancy, to present our work in Cdiscount on product classification. An oral presentation is on July 3rd. [07/2018]
